It is true that the way Muslims fight the Jews of Israel is sick, it is beyond the overtin window of acceptable ideas about non white people in America and Europe. It also triggers among Jews of Israel a concern, about the unknown cost of being boycotted by Europe, to their job market, to their standard of living. But A distinction I noticed, when we are presented with evidence of deplorable policies, like hiding weapons in mosques, hiding soldiers in hospitals, building tunnel entrances near schools, is that although these things are true, horrible, and hard to persuade some people over, we should realize that a great number of smaller truths are also being hidden from the debate.
For instance, why not recognize that racism has always been harsher against Jews? Why not recognize that the Muslims have a long history of ethnic cleansing and genocide against Jews? Why not say that it is likely that it will be a very long time before Jew hatred among Muslims will be resolved?
I may not know by what measurements the owners of the media decide which facts can be included in debates, and which facts are censored. It is clear the end result, is one where left wing Americans and Europeans, can believe that Israel is guilty of cruelty and opportunistic aggression. Those in the west who listen to right wing media, do seem to get enough evidence of global Islamic aggression and Jew hatred, sufficient to compel the moral among them, to believing that the issue stems from the Muslims.
Really, I don’t even respect the conclusions or opinions of the western left. They should know that there is an issue when Muslims attacked Israel in such a brutal way, disregarding all rules of war, and all standards of the people about rape, about intentional targeting of women and children, and much more.
But I am trying to persuade the Jews of Israel to be harder, to be more confident. So we do not tie ourselves to the public opinion of America, which is obviously a weak standard against Islam. Not good for fighting Islam, at best a policy standard good for keeping Islam out of America. It sounds like the writer of this article is arguing, that the Israeli response is to weak. I agree, but I think the criticism would be more valid, if we would build a better case for the people of Israel as to where they are going, policy wise, and to engage to some degree their fears about being boycotted by the Europeans and the Americans.
We who want to fight for our people do not want to make them so angry, make them suffer so much, that they are willing to lash out, to call out to G-d. We already know that we can persuade them of G-ds existence, as soon as we are allowed to. We already know that we can persuade them as to what the right posture towards the Arab Muslims should be, what policies should be enacted pertaining to them, what the real situation is pertaining to access to global funds, for Israel that stands up to the west, and gets boycotted, versus an Israel that fears the west, and submits to it. We can explain to them what the situation is, and they will embrace the right actions.
So, reduce your criticisms, you speak on behalf of illegitimate leadership for the Jewish people. You are committed to making this world work, which is your choice, but it is not the most faithful or moral one, based on the narratives available. My measurements may be off, but I don’t think that they are. Nothing is more important than protecting the women and children of Israel. In G-d I trust.
